AVERY HILL BAND

Sixteen years ago with the help of fellow musicians Shorty Engle started the Avery Hill Band.

The idea was for us to be have fun and in turn pass that fun along to our audiences.  That is still the goal of the Avery Hill Band today.  We play a wide variety of music and get the crowd in a party atmosphere.  We love to get them involved, hands clapping, feet moving and even get them to sing along!  Audience participation is a large part of what we do whether it be a guest singer, guest musician or just some ordinary patrons joining the band on stage to play tambourine or sing back-up with the band.  We don't care if you can't remember what songs we play - we just want you to remember to have fun and enjoy the experience.  Come on out with the Avery Hill Band and enjoy the sounds of the 50's thru the present.  Country, Rock, Blues, Motown, R&B, Alternative and maybe even some Rap!

The AVERY HILL BAND consists of five members:

Shorty Engle from Belleville, IL on Bass Guitar and vocals

The beautiful & talented Mandy Heinneman from Red Bud, IL on vocals.  Mandy has recorded in Nashville, TN with some of the cities top studio musicians.

On Lead Guitar and vocals from Belleville, IL is Bill Borders.

On Rhythm Guitar from Smithton, IL is Tony Koenig.  Well known among musicians in the area.  Tony was the front man for Turnpike Cruisers & Night Moves.

On Drums from Belleville, IL is Kent (Fish) Kidwell.  Fish brings over 30 years professional experience to the band.
